Avielle last saw her father in a Massachusetts courtroom when she was only 5.
The ex-New England Patriots tight end was on trial for the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd.

Employees at the team’s pro shop were ordered to remove Hernandez’s memorabilia and merchandise from shelves.
While in jail Hernandez gave power of attorney to his sports agent, and instructed him to provide his fiancee Shayanna Jenkins with $3,000 a month and to help her find more affordable housing.

The vacant mansion Hernandez and Jenkins once shared in North Attleboro, Massachusetts fell into disrepair with burst pipes and mold.
In 2015 Hernandez was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
He took his own life in a prison cell in Leominster, Massachusetts on April 19, 2017. He was 27.
His lawyers filed a motion to vacate his conviction since his case could not be appealed.
Under state law a judge vacated Hernandez’s conviction and he was declared “innocent.”
