New York-born singer and viral Coachella star D4vd is cooperating with Los Angeles police after a “badly decomposed” body was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to him.
The body of a male was found in the trunk of the Tesla after a wrecker service towed the car to a Hollywood Hills impound lot on Monday.
Tow yard workers detected a foul odor from the front trunk area and called 911.
Police opened the front trunk and found the body wrapped in a black garbage bag.

D4vd, real name David Burke, turned 20 on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and is currently on tour.
He performed at Chicago’s Salt Shed on Saturday, Sept. 6, and is set to perform in Los Angeles on Sept. 20.
“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” a spokesperson for the singer told NBC4 LA Tuesday.
The singer-songwriter skyrocketed to fame after his songs, including “Romantic Homicide,” went viral on TikTok. He gained 3.6 million followers on TikTok.
He went viral when he face planted during a failed backflip at Coachella in April (watch the video below).
D4vd opened for SZA on the second leg of her SOS Tour in 2023.
