Houston singer D4vd reportedly canceled a concert in Seattle, Washington and flew to Los Angeles to turn himself in to police.
D4vd became the No. 1 suspect after a “badly decomposed” and dismembered body was found in the trunk of his Tesla on Sept. 8.
The car was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and the city had it towed to a police impound yard.
Police were called to the tow yard on Sept. 8 to investigate a foul odor coming from the car’s front trunk. Officers opened the trunk and made the grisly discovery.
The body was later identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who was only 13 when she ran away from home on April 5, 2024.
Her mother told TMZ that Celeste was last seen with her boyfriend named “David.”
A GoFundMe raised over $1,600 to help pay funeral arrangements.
The Rivas family declined to speak with reporters gathered outside their home on Wednesday.
Sources told Rolling Stone, the Tesla was seen in various places in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood since May.
The 2023 Tesla Model Y “moved around” several times before it was parked in its final spot on Bluebird Avenue in August, according to Rolling Stone.

Grieving friends shared Discord comments and photos of Celeste with D4vd on social media. One photo shows a then-17-year-old D4vd with a young girl wearing glasses who resembles Celeste.
Both D4vd and Celeste had the same “Shhh…” tattoos on their right index fingers.

D4vd was on tour when Celeste’s body was found in the Tesla registered to him. His rep said the singer was “fully cooperating” with police.
TMZ reports that D4vd canceled his show in Seattle on Wednesday before flying to Los Angeles that same day.
The Los Angeles Police Department did not confirm reports that D4vd, real name David Burke, 20, was charged in Celeste’s murder.
According to TMZ, D4vd was photographed in the same vicinity as Celeste’s home.
TMZ published an undated photo that shows D4vd in Lake Elsinore, CA, about a 6-minute walk from the home where Celeste lived before she disappeared.
