Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy is Mine” tour just kicked off and Brandy is already disappointing her paying fans.

The R&B singers kicked off their national “The Boy is Mine” tour in Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Monica shared photos from opening night of their tour on Instagram. She captioned the post: “THE BOY IS MINE TOUR …Night ONE. Cincinnati Thank You. WE LOVE YOU.”

But fans in Chicago didn’t feel the love when Brandy – without warning – walked off the stage and didn’t return on Saturday night.

Fans took to social media to voice their complaints and to express concern for the “Full Moon” singer. Some fans said they didn’t get to see Brandy and Monica perform “The Boy is Mine” during “The Boy is Mine” tour.

On Sunday, Brandy apologized to her Chicago fans. She explained that she left the stage because she was experiencing symptoms of dehydration and she felt faint.

She claimed she wanted to return, but her camp advised her not to.

“Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance,” she wrote.

Brandy claimed she went to see a doctor and she has “taken the proper precautions to help moving forward.”

Fans aren’t buying Brandy’s excuses. They say this is not Brandy’s first time touring. She should be prepared for the demands of a tour.

However, there are reports that Brandy walked off the stage because she was upset with the sound guy.

A fan uploaded cell phone video to X (Twitter) that shows Brandy walking off stage and making a beeline to the sound board.

The tour will run until December 14, 2025, and include performances by Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and Jamal Roberts.
