Darius McCrary remains in a San Diego, California jail after a judge denied bond during a hearing on Wednesday.
Darius, 49, was arrested near the Mexico border on Oct. 5.
The “Family Matters” star was wanted on a fugitive arrest warrant out of Michigan for skipping a child support hearing there.
He is accused of failure to pay $52,788.04 in back child support as of March 12, 2019.
A “fugitive arrest” under the California Penal Code applies to individuals who are wanted in another state.

A rep told Page Six that Darius doesn’t owe any child support because the complaint comes from the mom of his eldest child, Zecheriah, who is now 18 years old and has a trust fund.
Darius appeared at his bond hearing on Wednesday in San Diego.
When the judge asked the actor if he would like to grant a media request for media coverage, he said, “I just want to make sure my other children weren’t in the media if I mentioned their names.”
“My right to due process is constantly trampled,” he told the judge. Darius said the Michigan court has no jurisdiction over him.
The disheveled actor, who represented himself as a sovereign citizen, slurred his words as he cited a legal case on establishing jurisdiction.
Sovereign citizens are often scofflaws and scammers who believe they are not subject to government and state laws. They cite AI-generated case laws to justify their actions.
“Before we proceed, we need to establish jurisdiction. It’s imperative that we establish jurisdiction,” Darius told the court.
In a bizarre exchange with the judge, Darius said, “I’m here on special appearance.”
“Who are you specially appearing for?” asked the judge.
“I’m specially appearing for Darius McCrary,” he responded. “I’m here pro per special appearance.”
“And when you say you are here ‘pro per special appearance,’ who are you?” the judge asked the befuddled actor.
“I’m authorized signatory thereof of the estate and executor of the estate,” he said.
Judge: “Whose estate?”
Darius: “Um, the McCrary estate.”
“And your name is?”
“Um, Darius… I’m the authorized signatory thereof Darius McCrary.”
The judge denied bond and urged Darius to hire an attorney to represent him at his next hearing.
An Instagram user wrote: “He’s actually correct. He just needs an attorney to better articulate. He’s a sovereign citizen.”
Another person wrote: “He know the law his dad was a police officer! Where’s Carl?”
Darius is best known for his role as Eddie Winslow in the ABC TV sitcom “Family Matters” from 1989-1997.
