The Internet is convinced that Kim Kardashian had some more work done to her face. This is how the reality TV star showed up to the Academy Museum 5th Annual Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Kim (who turns 45 tomorrow) wore a nude gown with a matching skin tone face mask from Maison Margiela Spring 2025 Haute Couture collection.

She anchored the face mask with a patchwork of costume jewelry around her neck.

The nude, body-hugging gown itself doesn’t help. It’s meant to evoke Margiela’s avant-garde codes of deconstruction and anonymity, but here it reads as minimal to the point of lifeless. There’s no contrast, no sense of irony, no fresh tension between couture craftsmanship and celebrity identity — which is exactly what makes Margiela exciting.

Instead, it comes across as attention-seeking performance art without the substance to back it up. The mask doesn’t challenge the red carpet gaze anymore; it just signals, “Look at me — again.” –Source

Here is a photo of a model wearing the same Maison Margiela Spring 2025 Haute Couture gown (and costume jewelry) on the runway.

The unusual look sparked a buzz on the Internet with much of the talk centered around Kim getting cosmetic surgery work done.

This is not the first time that Kim has worn a face mask of some type.

She wore a similar lewk to the Met Gala in 2022.

Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, 69, was the talk of the town recently when she unveiled her tightly pulled, reconstructed face. It’s a sure bet that Kim also went under the knife with the same surgeon.
