The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating a rumor that Texas alt-pop singer David Anthony Burke, a.k.a. D4vd, mixed a dead teenager’s blood in red paint for his bloody shirt tour merchandise.

The rumor spread online after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the trunk of David’s Tesla Model X on Sept. 8.

The bloody shirts were part of David’s tour merchandise. David sold the white button-down shirts splattered with fake blood for $35 on his official site.

He abruptly removed the bloody shirts from his website days before the FBI executed a search warrant at his $20,000 a month rental property in the Hollywood Hills.

According to reports, authorities contacted fans who purchased the bloody shirts to test the merchandise for forensic evidence.

Unlike most tour merchandise that is mass manufactured and printed in China, David hand printed the shirts himself with fake blood. A photo on his Instagram page shows David wearing a black bonnet while hand-printing the shirts on a black tarp on his living room floor.

In a live-stream video, David is seen in the same living room holding a type of knife used by hunters to skin animals.

David’s Tesla was towed on Sept. 5 after it had apparently been abandoned for weeks.

Employees at the tow yard called police to report a foul odor on Sept. 8. Police made the grisly discovery when they opened the front trunk of the vehicle.

Police believe Celeste’s body had been in the trunk for at least 3 weeks.

Parking tickets show someone moved the Tesla several times while Celeste’s body was in the trunk.

According to Steve Fischer, a private investigator hired by the landlord of David’s former rental house, the LAPD is in possession of a video that shows the driver who parked David’s Tesla for a final time before the singer went on tour.

The PI told Ashleigh Banfield that the person is seen on video inside David’s rental house before the singer went on tour on July 29.

The Internet is speculating that the person who moved the car last was David’s closest friend (and possible lover) who calls himself @NeotheAsian.

David shared numerous intimate photos of himself and Neo together at home and on tour. Neo described himself as David’s personal assistant.

Neo has since unfollowed David and scrubbed all photos of him from his social media. But David still has photos of Neo on his social media pages.

Celeste reportedly lived with David at 2 rental properties about a mile apart in the Hollywood Hills. There are rumors that she was killed and her body dismembered at one of the rental properties.

There are also rumors that Celeste’s remains were chopped up and stored in a freezer for weeks or months until David and Neo went on tour.

David, 20, and Celeste were allegedly involved in a 3-year relationship that began when she was 12 and he was 18. Her mother reported her missing from the family home in Lake Elsinore, CA. in April 2024.

However, Celeste is seen in photos and videos at her mother’s house after that date.

The teen was last seen online around January 2025. Family members last heard from her in July 2025.
