Nakia Holmes, owner of the Turkey Leg Hut in Houston, is accused of harboring and aiding her boyfriend who kidnapped and brutally beat an ex-girlfriend.

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Holmes, 45, was charged with hindering the apprehension of a known felon, her boyfriend Johnathan Saizon.

According to court documents, Johnathan Saizon is charged with aggravated kidnapping and assault in Harris County.

Saizon is accused of brutally beating an ex-girlfriend with a tire iron while free on bond on unrelated felony charges.

An attorney representing Nakia Holmes in court said she does not have a criminal history and she was unaware of Saizon’s crimes.

“There’s no evidence that she knew that he had warrants previous to this encounter or that he was wanted on felony charges,” attorney Allisa Cana said.

In court, a magistrate noted that Holmes initially refused to answer deputies’ questions when they arrived at her home with a warrant.

Holmes allegedly denied Saizon was in her home. She later told deputies that she knew Saizon was at the home and that he asked her to leave to check if police were outside.

Holmes was released on a $10,000 bond on Thursday morning. Saizon is still in custody without bond.

In court records, Holmes reported having only $700 in assets.

In 2023, Nakia shocked fans by filing for divorce from Lyndell “Lynn” Price. Their popular Turkey Leg Hut restaurant was known for its oversized and flavorful turkey drumsticks. It was a favorite destination spot for celebrities like 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Megan Thee Stallion.

However, the feds shut down the Almeda Road restaurant and filed criminal charges against Lynn Price for selling more marijuana than turkey drumsticks out of the restaurant.
