“Wicked” star Ariana Grande explained why she and costar Cynthia Erivo can’t stop touching each other.

In a recent podcast interview, Ariana, 32, said she channels a lot of energy through her hands.

“As you’ve learned, I’m always reaching for something sometimes,” she said. “It’s often, like, who I’m with. I like to channel support and energy. I didn’t even notice that it was a thing about me until that thing happened.”

Ariana referred to a recent incident in Singapore when a troll approached her and put his arm around her during a “Wicked: For Good” premiere last week.

Cynthia, 38, rushed to protect Ariana, which sparked comments about Cynthia being too overly protective of her costar.

The fan was arrested and is currently serving a 9-day sentence in jail.

In a viral meme that resurfaced last week, Cynthia is seen tenderly adjusting Ariana’s necklace during a red carpet appearance.

Cynthia is married to “The Chi” director, Lena Waithe, who is not happy with Cynthia and Ariana’s friendship.

Lena, 41, reportedly had a lengthy discussion with Ariana about the actress’s relationship with Cynthia earlier this year.

According to the source, Lena sat down with both Ariana and Cynthia to clear the air about their friendship.

Allegedly, Lena was concerned that she might lose Cynthia the same way she got her – by cheating on her ex, Alana Mayo.

Ariana recently called out people on X (Twitter) who try to diagnose her with an eating disorder. She called their concerns “toxic.”

“They tell me I have a lot of things … They’re actually invasive and scary, and triggering. Just wrong and loud, and unhealthy—that’s toxic,” she said.

The singer/actress denies reports that she has an eating disorder.
