YouTube vlogger Quentin Latham, a.k.a. “Funky Dineva,” announced that he has stage 1 prostate cancer. The reality TV personality revealed his cancer was caught early with a blood test.
He urged his male followers to get screened for prostate cancer with a blood test (prostate-specific antigen or PSA), and a prostate/rectal exam.
The former “Tea G-I-F” cohost announced his diagnosis on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
“All right guys, I just got back from the urologist, so let me preface with I’m sharing this information for educational purposes and not for sympathy. But I have stage 1 prostate cancer,” he said in a video.
“They did 12 biopsies and 2 of them came back cancerous and 1 of them came back suspicious or inconclusive.” Dineva said his doctor mentioned a Gleason score that was “extremely low.”

Dineva, 42, said he is discussing his treatment options with his doctor, including robotic surgery to remove his prostate.
He captioned his post: “Early detection is the key!! Have all the guys in your life stay up on their bloodwork and exams! Please don’t call my phone. I need to take a nap to process this.”

Dineva’s followers left words of encouragement and prayers in his comments.
One follower wrote: “Early detection is the key & life saving. You got this Q, I love you friend, you’re the biggest cheerleader & supporter for everyone rather they’re a stranger or not, you give love & light & you shall receive love, light & healing.”
Former Miami radio host Supa Cindy wrote: “Love & Prayers Q and GIVE THANKS that it was detected early. Love you.”
A third person wrote: “Thank you for Sharing something you definitely didn’t need to. But it will definitely help someone else get tested. Listen to the options and medical advice. Breathe. So glad it’s an early stage.”
A 4th person commented: “Oh, no! Praying that everything goes well. You’ll get through this. Sending you love and support.”
