OJ Simpson’s estate has agreed to pay $58 million to Ron Goldman’s family 31 years after the late NFL star stabbed Goldman to death.
According to ABC News, Simpson’s estate accepted a $58 million claim from Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman.
Simpson’s executor filed the claim in a Nevada court on Friday, indicating the estate will pay the $58 million, plus interest.

Simpson died from prostate cancer in April 2024 at age 76.
Ron Goldman was murdered alongside Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, outside her townhome in 1994.
Simpson was arrested after police discovered blood evidence in a sink trap at his Brentwood, CA. mansion and a bloody glove was found on the grounds of his estate.

During his criminal trial, the prosecutor testified that Simpson stabbed the victims in a fit of jealous rage when he found them together at the townhome that was in Simpson’s name.
Goldman’s family insisted he was returning an item that Nicole left behind at a restaurant where he worked as a waiter.
Simpson, who was acquitted of their murders, was later found liable for their deaths in a civil lawsuit. In 1997, he was ordered to pay the Goldman family $33.5 million. But he refused to pay the judgment.
Over the years, the Goldmans managed to collect a fraction of what Simpson owed them.
At the time, Simpson lived in California where his NFL benefits and other assets were protected from garnishment.

In 2008, Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery for orchestrating the theft of his own sports memorabilia from 2 men in a hotel room in Las Vegas on September 13, 2007.
He was convicted on Oct 3, 2008 – 13 years to the day he was acquitted of double murder in the “trial of the century.”
A judge sentenced Simpson to serve 33 years in prison. Many believed the conviction was karma after Simpson got away with murder.
Simpson was paroled on July 20, 2017, after serving only 9 years of his 33 year sentence.
