Pop superstar Beyoncé is named co-chair of the 2026 Met Gala alongside former editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, actress Nicole Kidman, and tennis star Venus Williams.

Beyoncé was honorary chair in 2013, and Nicole Kidman co-chaired the Met Gala in 2003 and 2005.

Venus will co-chair the Met Gala seven years after her younger sister and fellow tennis champion, Serena, was co-chair.

The 2026 Metropolitan Museum exhibit is “Costume Art,” which explores the relationship between body and clothing.

The dress code for the 2026 Met Gala has yet to be announced.

Last year’s event raised a record $31 million for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z (pictured at the 2015 Met Gala), showed up at a recent “The Boy Is Mine” tour concert in Los Angeles.

She deliberately snubbed Brandy, while taking photos with her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland backstage.

Brandy later issued a statement saying her Instagram page was “compromised” and comments left on a Beyoncé fan page were not written by her.
