Djimon Hounsou’s baby mama is behind bars for punching him in the face during an eviction proceeding.
The “Gladiator” star told cops his baby mama, Ri’Za Marie Simpson, punched him in the face after he told her to vacate his Atlanta townhouse.
According to legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Djimon, 61, filed a police complaint back in December when Ri’Za, with whom he shares two children, punched him after he tried to evict her from his townhouse.
The Atlanta Police Department says Djimon told cops their kids were upstairs in the house when their mother allegedly punched their father. Police say the children didn’t see their mother attack their dad, but they may have heard the commotion.

Ri’Za and Djimon share son Fela and another child. They are pictured with Djimon’s son, Kenzo Hounsou (right) from a previous relationship with Kimora Lee.
The Atlanta Police Department finally acted on the complaint on Friday, January 16, when officers executed an arrest warrant at the townhouse and took Ri’Za into custody.
Ri’Za is charged with simple assault and obstruction for allegedly providing false information about her identity when officers showed up to arrest her.
Cops say Ri’Za’s kids were at home when she was served with an arrest warrant. Officers say they heard the children crying in the background when they pounded on the front door to serve the arrest warrant.
