Tichina Rolanda Arnold opened up about her first and only time dating a white man. “The Neighborhood” star, 54, said she once dated “90210” actor Brian Austin Green.
“It was nice,” she said of her only interracial dating experience in an episode of Deon Cole’s “Funny Not Knowing You” podcast. “He was different,” she added.
They broke up because she knew he would end up sharing his riches with a white woman.
“I told him, I said the reason we’ve come to the end of our road [is] because, I see you dating all these Black women, now you’re dating me, and you’re not gonna end up with a Black woman,” she said. “You’re gonna share your riches and your legacy with someone white. And so I’m getting off this train.”
Tichina said Brian is a “really nice guy,” but she was trying something new. “I think in life I had to experience that so I know what the other side is, and it’s just not something that I want.”
The “Martin” star said she’s attracted to Black men only. “I really love Black men,” she said.
“I’m just attracted to Black men. Like, that’s my natural – it comes down to everything. Just the pheromones, the smell, everything. The everything!”
Tichina is best known for her role as Pamela “Pam” James in the sitcom “Martin,”, and the mom, “Rochelle” on the sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris” (2005-2009). She also portrayed Judi Mann in the TV Land original sitcom “Happily Divorced” (1992-1997).
Tichina portrays Tina Butler in the CBS sitcom series “The Neighborhood.” And she played Paulette in the South African series “Lockdown” (2018-2019).
She was married twice, to heavyweight boxer Lamon Brewster and later to Golden State Warriors assistant coach Rico Hines.
She divorced Rico in 2022 after his s^x tape with another woman was leaked to the Internet.
Tichina has a daughter, actress and singer Alijah Kai Haggins, 21, with music producer Carvin Haggins.
