WNBA star Rickea Jackson revealed shocking details from her domestic dispute with James Pearce Jr. that ended in violence on Saturday.
James, 22, was arrested on five felony charges after their domestic altercation erupted in Miami. His charges include two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking.
Rickea, 24, called 911 on Saturday morning, stating James was following her in his car. She told police they recently broke up after a 3-year relationship, and she blocked his phone number, but he used another phone to text her.

“A text shows Rickea told him to leave her alone, and she wanted nothing to do with him. He kept texting her, and when she left her house, she noticed him driving behind her. When she was stopped at a red light, she told police he got out of his car and tried to open her door,” Trish Christakis of NBC 6 Miami wrote on X (Twitter).
James jumped back into his car, followed Rickea, and tried to rear-end her car near the police station.
When Rickea tried to reverse, he collided head-on with her car. Doral police arrived and he drove into an officer, injuring the officer’s knee.
James fled and crashed at an intersection. Police ordered him out of the car with guns drawn. It took 7 officers to wrestle the 6’5″ Atlanta Falcons linebacker to the ground and take him into custody.

James was released from jail on Sunday night after posting a $20,500 bond.
He was ordered to stay away from Rickea and have no contact with her.

James denied the charges in a statement issued through his attorney.
“We look forward to working with the State Attorney’s office in fully investigating this case and uncovering the truth,” James’ attorney, Jacob Nunez, said in a statement on Monday.
“Mr. Pearce maintains his innocence and urges the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, that it is hardly the full, complete story. We look forward to vigorously defending our client and remain confident that he will continue contributing positively to both his team and the community he serves so well.”
