Dallas Wings star Arike Ogunbowale was arrested for punching a man at a Miami nightclub.

Ogunbowale was arrested early Thursday morning while celebrating Mist BC’s Unrivaled 3v3 championship at Club E11EVEN in Miami.

FOX Sports reports that Ogunbowale punched a man in the face, knocking him out. the incident happened around 4:20 a.m. outside the nightclub. She was charged with misdemeanor battery, according to Miami-Dade County records.

The punch was captured on surveillance video, but the footage hasn’t surfaced yet.

Ogunbowale was celebrating the Mist BC’s championship win when the fight happened.

She scored 19 points in Mist BC’s 80-74 win over Phantom BC in the Unrivaled Finals on Wednesday night.

The Mist BC won a cash prize of $600,000.

The Unrivaled league issued a statement: “The league is aware of an incident involving Arike Ogunbowale and we are in the process of gathering additional information. We’re in contact with Arike and her representatives.”

The Dallas Wings of the WNBA also issued a statement, saying “The Wings are aware of an incident involving Arike Ogunbowale and are in the process of gathering more information. Further comments will be provided once we have more details.”

Ogunbowale was named Most Valuable Player of the WNBA All-Star game in 2024. She is a 4-time WNBA All-Star and a two-time WNBA All-Star Game MVP.
