Some of you might be too young to remember the hit movie “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three” (1974). It’s a movie about a deranged man and his cohorts who hijack a NY subway train and demands a ransom for the passengers.
The twist in the movie is how they plan to get away with the loot. If you love thrill-a-minute movies with exciting plot twists – this is the movie for you. In this remake, Denzel Washington plays Lt. Zachary Garber, the grizzled NYC transit cop who matches wits with the lunatic and tries to guess his next move.
John Travolta plays the lunatic who hijacks the train and thinks he’s smarter than Garber. What I love about John Travolta is that every movie he appears in his sister Ann gets a supporting role. In this movie she plays a television news reporter.
Who can forget the classic ending when one of the hijackers thinks he’s gotten away with the perfect crime and all the loot? 
I can’t wait to see this movie! The Taking of Pelham 123 hits theaters in June 2009.

i think this will be a blockbuster!! i’m upset that its not comin out til next year but I know it will be worth the wait. both men are phenomenal

Denzel can be 80 years old walking with a cane & drooling from the mouth & he will still be fine to me(lmao) seriously I think he is preserving his sexy real nice & each role he has he surley fits the part!! I can’t wait for this either it sounds real good most remakes usually are but with Denzel & John it’s a bonus!! Sandra you mentioned his sister being in his movies Im not familar with her maybe never payed attention!!!
