Any actress and actor in Hollywood know that often when you do an Indie movie which is what Precious was considered you go to these film festivals where the producer, director and leads sit and talk to the audience after a screening and this is often how you get the big studios to add backing and get your movie seen in more screens

Wykesha Reid, 34, was found dead on a massage table at the Deep Ellum salon in Dallas on Feb. 19, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Cops say they believe she suffered a “medical emergency” while undergoing the black-market cosmetic procedure.
Her stepmom Patricia Kelley revealed it was the fourth time she’d been to the parlor for the same treatment.
The 70-year-old said she had warned her stepdaughter, who she’d raised since she was a baby, that her butt was getting too big.
“But she got hooked on them booty shots,” she added to the Dallas Morning News.
Cops discovered Reid’s lifeless body inside the business at 7 a.m. the day after her visit. Her cellphone and purse were missing, and the premises had been cleared out.
Police issued arrest warrants for Denise Rochelle Ross, 43, and Alicia Clarke, 31, on Wednesday.
