Rap mogul Ludacris’s baby mama, Tamika Fuller, lost her motion for a new trial today.
In January, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Doris L. Downs awarded full physical custody of 2-year-old Cai Bella Bridges to Ludacris, whose real name is Christopher Bridges.
Fuller showed up for the hearing today at the Fulton County courthouse dressed to impress. She wore a new green dress which she accessorized with new weave and new shoes.
Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, was not in court today. He is currently on tour promoting his new album, Ludaversal, and his new movie, Fast & Furious 7.
Fuller’s attorney, Lisa West, was supposed to show Judge Downs ample evidence to justify a new trial. But instead, she chose to portray Ludacris as a wealthy rapper who has the means to buy off judges.
West, pictured above at the January hearing, told the judge that Ludacris “bought” custody of Cai. The judge was obviously not pleased that West practically implied that she (the judge) took money to rule in Ludacris’s favor.
In her motion for a new trial, West told the judge that Ludacris’s lawyer, Tanya Mitchell-Graham, was in cahoots with a certain Atlanta blogger who published positive publicity for him.
West said Tamika has never done interviews or sought monetary compensation for herself by selling stories or photos to the media.
But in an “open letter” for Madame Noire blog, which was published yesterday, Fuller appeared in new photos with Cai in a park.
Luda’s attorney, John Mayoue (who was also Usher’s lawyer), showed the judge the Madam Noire article which clearly shows she violated the court order prohibiting her from circulating photos of 2-year-old Cai Bella Bridges to the media.
In addition to the photos of Cai in Madam Noire, Cai is also featured in a photo shoot for gossip blog Bossip.com, which also ran yesterday.
There was a pregnant pause in the courtroom as the judge read through the long article. The court was silent except for the rustling of pages turning.
Several minutes later, Judge Downs looked up and asked the attorneys if they had any other evidence to present to the court.
Attorneys on both sides said they had nothing more to present.
And with that, the judge ended the hearing with the words “MOTION DENIED!”

Though I did make the decision to love and embrace my kids siblings it was not easy. And I really think my reaction is rare which is why I still side eye this situation. I’m not saying they won’t be good parents to the baby and that E can’t grow to love her. I just question their motives. chile, i have always loved to laugh. in my family you gotta have really thick skin becuz NOTHING is off limits – not cancer, infertility, THOT behavior, etc. it’s all game for being used in a joke. and when they get mad at you, it’s even worse. ain’t a subliminal dig, cuss word, etc. that’s new to me

Good morning y’all. I’m up at work. We are safe. Luckily the storm lost some of its steam before reaching nap. That wind and lighting was no joke though. Think it started at few fires. This is the worst part about spring here. The weather ain’t bad just can be very scary.

I never understood how the celebrity men can just say I dont want the kid on tv, in mags, etc. He doesn’t give a damn like that. It’s just a form of his abuse of power. this is a prime example of your past catching up with you she didnt give a damn about her other kids but she fighting in court for this child just because the father has money and she thought she had a payday then come in court instead of trying to convince the judge on how the child will better off being with her she decides the best defense is to trash the judge the court system and the father she just set herself back several years all luda has to do is be a good father and dont mess up and she will never have full custody
