Atlanta police say a local stripper set up a “friend” to be robbed at the W Hotel in downtown Atlanta on Friday.
Police arrested Essence Mondesire, 21, after she called 911 to report two men robbed her and a girlfriend of their clothes, cash and cell phones.
Police later determined Mondesire called one of the men, known only as “Flip”, and told him to come to the hotel.
When Flip arrived in the hotel lobby, Mondesire handed him the key to the room and returned to the room where her girlfriend was waiting.
Moments later, Flip and another man used the key to enter the hotel room.
The AJC reports that the men “robbed the victim and Ms. Mondesire of all their clothes, cellphones and cash.”
Mondesire, who dances at Follies strip club, was charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery. She is being held at the Fulton County jail.
On Saturday, police released surveillance images of the two suspects inside the hotel elevator.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS, or visit crimestoppersatlanta.org or text CSA and the tip to 274637.
A $2,000 reward is being offered.
