Black Entertainment Television (BET) agreed with viewers who trashed Madonna‘s Billboard Music Awards tribute to pop icon Prince. The beloved rock singer passed away under mysterious circumstances at age 57 on April 21.
Viewers who tuned into the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 22, were shocked to see Madonna’s half-assed tribute to Prince. The nearly 60-year-old singer — who is way past her prime — wore a sparkly Prince-inspired outfit and dragged poor tone-deaf R&B legend Stevie Wonder into her mess.
BET saved the night by airing a TV commercial promising to do Prince justice when the BET Awards airs on Sunday, June 26.
