It was the talk of the blogosphere last week. A so-called beauty blogger expert trashed a black model’s beautiful natural curls on live TV.
Deepica Mutyala, a beauty blogger, was supposed to be demonstrating quick hairstyles for the summer.
Hilarity ensued when she attempted to re-style model Malyia McNaughton‘s natural curls.
Talktown blog described what happened next:
None of the styles looked great (Mutyala is not a hair stylist by trade) but Malyia McNaughton, a model with natural, got the worst — a high ponytail with bangs that ended up looking like a bird’s nest.
Whose idea was it to book a blogger with zero styling experience to style hair on the Today Show?
After she was dragged unmercifully on social media, Mutyala issued a written apology. She later met up with McNaughton (and other bloggers) to personally apologize for humiliating her on live TV.
