A Forest Park, Georgia woman who shot her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend was arrested in Tennessee.
Forest Park police say Tia Marie dos Santos fled the Atlanta area after shooting her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend at his home on North Avenue late Thursday.
Police responding to a “shots fired” call just before 11 p.m. Thursday found a man and woman, Claudette Noremia Duclous, 30, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, where Duclous died from her injuries, FOX5 News reports.
The man, who was shot in the arm, is not being identified while he is in the hospital, according to FOX5.
Dos Santos’ white Toyota was spotted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she was arrested.
She is being held awaiting extradition back to Atlanta. She will be charged with murder and aggravated assault.
FOX5 reports dos Santos was arrested back in May for stalking the same man.
A neighbor said a woman painted large profane words on the man’s home and vandalized his truck in the driveway in the May incident.
“I don’t know who the woman was, but he told me he had her thrown in jail, said neighbor Mary Smith, “and now to think it may have been the same person who did this… just breaks my heart. That’s a life you took. A family is hurting now… for what?”
A Gofundme account has been created to raise funds for Ms. Duclous’ 2 sons.
