Rumors are swirling that former NFL star Ray Rice and his wife, Janay Palmer, are bleaching. Exhibit A is this photo of Rice, Janay and their children at Disneyland.
Self-hate issues and low self-esteem has caused numerous black celebrities to seek skin bleaching treatments.
Rice, 30, played his entire career for the Baltimore Ravens until his suspension in 2014 following an arrest on domestic violence charges.
Video footage purchased by gossip tabloid TMZ shows Rice knocking out Janay inside a casino elevator in February 2014. The couple tied the knot a month later, and the casino shut down permanently not long after.
Rice was later reinstated by the NFL, but he never wore a Ravens uniform again. Rice and the Ravens settled a lawsuit out of court in 2015. His contract expired in 2016.
No other NFL team has shown an interest in signing the running back.
