Rapper Wiz Khalifa addressed the death of his brother Dorien “LaLa” Thomaz in a tweet on Thursday.
Thomaz, who passed away on Feb. 20 at age 32, was a male-to-transgender who preferred wearing stereotypical feminine clothing.
Thomaz’s death occurred a day after the “Black and Yellow” hitmaker hosted a party with ex-wife Amber Rose to celebrate their son Sebastian’s fourth birthday.
The 29-year-old rapper, real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz, addressed the news on Twitter.com, thanking fans for their messages of support.
He tweeted: “The loss of my sibling has been the hardest thing Ive had to deal with but wiith your prayers and well wishes my family will get though (through) this”.
Interestingly, he referred to Thomaz as “my sibling” — a sign that Wiz may be uncomfortable referring to his brother as his sister.
