One person was killed and 4 others are in critical condition after a church bus carrying a church youth group overturned on busy Camp Creek highway in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon.
Multiple emergency vehicles responded to the crash site. Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove some of the victims. A total of 21 people were injured after the bus crashed into a Mercedes Benz and rolled over onto the car near the Wolf Creek Amphitheater in South Fulton.
The victims were transported to 5 separate area hospitals. According to Channel 2 News, the church bus belonged to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ala. The high school students and their teachers were on their way to Hartsfield Airport to fly to a mission in Africa.
The deceased victims have not been notified pending notification of next of kin.
