The results of a recent study shows women of color have more harmful toxins in their bodies from cosmetics and beauty products than white women.
A new study conducted by researchers at George Washington University and Occidental College found that beauty products marketed towards black women tend to contain more toxic chemicals than products marketed towards white women.
The beauty products include skin bleachers, makeup, hair dye and hair relaxers that contain toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde, parabens, hormones, lead and other heavy metals that can build up in the body over time and cause longterm effects on our health.
The study says pressure to conform to European beauty standards contributes to a cycle of self-hate in black women who desire straighter hair and lighter skin.
“Racial discrimination based on European beauty norms can lead to internalized racism, body shame, and skin tone dissatisfaction, factors that can influence product use to achieve straighter hair or lighter skin,” according to the study, originally published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
“Compared with white women, women of color have higher levels of beauty product-related environmental chemicals in their bodies, independent of socioeconomic status,” the study revealed.

If that’s truly the case then run those stats on white women in the US vs those in Europe because the US as a whole allows more chemicals in everything we use from cosmetics to food that Europe long ago banned across the board.
And that’s why i remain natural.the most you see on me is lip gloss. Wore makeup for the first time a few years back for a wedding. I felt like a transvestite. I couldn’t believe this is what some women go through every morning. NO Thanks
…
That Study might be right in a Sense, But many women of color who had parents who raised them on farms, and had the best Gardens ever, Like Our Parent, We ate plenty of fresh Veggie, fruits, melon, and to this day many in my Large family still live in the Country where their Gardens are Yelling great Things for Our Bodies, AND there are many in my family who has never even had a perm in their entire lives,,, And Whites uses a lot of things as well that has Chemicals, and they was the First to start dying their hair, and their
Whatcha my call it hair to match the many colors of hair on their heads.
PS
WOMEN OF COLOR WAS LATE TO CATCH ON , AND GET WITH THEM MANY BODY ENHANCEMENT, BREAST, HIPS ECT…SURGERIES
THAT THEY ARE GETTING NOW..JUST SAYING.
im 36 I only wore make-up to my wedding and prom
chemical and makeup free over here..I do occasionally wear lipstick but I think it would benefit anyone who wants to join the natural movement…Relaxers are toxic.
Chemical and make up free as well and I wear naturally straight hairstyles. Sisters can naturally wear straight hairstyles through safe blow drying and safe use of heat.
Although a bit of work, roller set like great grandmothers used to do they actually work. Sisters don’t have to relax their hair to wear straight styles.
Relaxers were created for the convenience of up to three month effortless straightening time not because sisters can’t naturally straighten. Black and Ethnic hair can naturally do anything if one has self care knowledge and skill.
Only make up needed is excellent facial moisterizer or oil and lip gloss. Beauty is a natural eminating energy not something put on.
Black people need to reconnect with nature and agriculture. It is unfortunate that the nature, whole foods lifestyle are considered white and made inaccessible to black people.
So true, I was in my home town for a huge Celebration recently, and this chick who used to try her best to be White, and not like the rest of us, Has spent her entire life trying things out, she now have sky blue eyes to go with that blondish red kinky hair of her’s. I laughed out loud when I was watching her from across the Ball room floor.
Many women of color hate that their skin isn’t white, and here lately so many in the game, and Otherwise tries their best to make many think Light skin is right, and if you are black, you had better step back.

I wear paraben-free/vegan/cruelty-free make-up (I love it). You have to watch the ingredients on EVERYTHING you put in and on your body from your shampoos to your deodorants.

So true! I just learned about this a couple months back.. Our FDA allows manufacturers to use poison in our products even candles and air freshener.. It’s crazy..
The results of a recent study -They take 20 black women and let them speak for 14 milion of you , studies are a waste of money.
Oh well. My face is beat right now and it looks mighty fine. Mighty fine. Lol.
Someone has a lot of money to constantly do these studies that always compares black and white , with the outcome ALWAYS being less favorable for blacks( I’m not buying it, and I don’t believe ANYTHING that pretty much always favors one race over another) If this much effort was actually put into focusing on the eradication of AIDS, CANCER, DIABETES, etc , there wouldn’t enough time to ALWAYS compare black to white , with the results for me being unbelievable and extremely biased.
Exactly!
Amen to that 1,000 times.
Since trying to eliminate (as much as possible) toxins from our food by eating organic, non-soy, non-GMO, etc. foods, my family member has looked high and low for non-toxic make up. It cannot be found; so, in my opinion, ALL make up has toxic ingredients. That’s why I don’t wear it anymore (except for lipstick from time to time and that’s bad enough).
What ^^^ said! Another thing, the Big Pharma will not allow for the eradication of AIDS, cancer, diabetes, etc. The medical profession is a scam. Doctors who have found cures have been killed. That’s a fact.
Another ingredient to look for is citric acid. Most of the crap we put in and on our bodies is toxic.
Facts! The money is in the medicine that supposedly prolongs your life, but in actuality is really killing you. When the oppressor is dishing out medicine /sustenance never expect to be well.
Yes!!!!!! I’m so happy that some people are hip to what’s going on! ??
Of course. That’s why it’s important for our sisters leave makeup alone. Go natural. These folks want to dead you because you’re the chosen ones.
It was a fallen messenger that taught women the sorcery of makeup. This info can be found in the book of Enoch ?
Sad weaves, perms, wigs and hair dye have also been proven to cause cancer, thyroids and tumors for the black woman yet they still wear it.
Do you not realize the condition your ppl are in? We are still slaves we have the worst food, jobs, education, healthcare, family structure, self esteem yet you think these results are unbelievable. You are completely out of touch.
I happen to agree with that homey. The Bible states the world will be riddled with incurable diseases in the end so I truly believe there will be no cures for most of these diseases out here today. I think of that every time someone asks me to give to a cause… These diseases have been around since the beginning of time and they aren’t going anywhere.
I try herbal remedies for everything now. Even make my own skin care products. The side effects in all these medicines are ridiculous. And the insurance companies are just scammers
Right! It’s a US thing, even black people in the US are bigger and have more diabetes than Africans. Africans eat more natural/ healthier foods. America is so money hungry, they’d allow anything so big companies can make money.
??Spirit beauty lounge is an awesome company featuring natural products and it’s also owned by an African American woman. My cave demon ass doesn’t make a dime from saying it btw.?
These young girls just need to learn how to love themselves. Never understood why someone would want to be white. Brown/black skin is beautiful. It took me a while to love my African features, but I feel so free now that I do. I wear my hair in all of its natural glory and the only makeup I wear is lipstick from time to time. Be proud of ya blackness.
But something like relaxer, we all know it bad, but a very large number of black women still it on themselves and young daughters, multiple times in a year.
Right..lol. I don’t wear makeup all the time, but I’m damn sure not about to stop either. While ya’ll being “au-naturale” better make sure it’s with every single aspect of your living and not just cosmetics.
Wigs and weave, Really? Tell me how that causes cancer.
And the things you’ve name aren’t just used by black women.
Lmao! Do your thing ??????
Happy Friday everyone!!!! Let’s make this a lovely day. I have decided to pick and choose which posts I comment on today. I am in a good mood and refuse to allow social media to take that away… See ya’ll in another post…Maybe!
Also older black ppl need to learn not to say mean things about black skin, hair to young girls. Because the 1st people to tell dark girls not play in the sun, the good hair Vs bad hair thing and the praising and favoritism of lighter girls, etc…usually starts at home around family members.
I was thinking the same thing. Because of the way society perceives beauty I hated the way I looked being a dark skin child. As an adult however there’s nothing more beautiful than my clear, even chocolate skin tone. No makeup, just vaseline on my lips. Natural hair which I love 100%.
I concur! Be the way the Most High made you. But also teach our youth to love themself as is.
Yes, bleaching creams and relaxers will do that to you (i.e. higher levels of beauty product-related environmental chemicals in your body), thank God that is not my problem.
Here you go…

As long as my makeup and hair products aren’t tested on animals (and are Black-owned), I’m going to keep using them. I love how I look with makeup and I love how I look without makeup. I choose to wear makeup because I want to. I still wear relaxers because it’s easier to me. I was natural for a year and a half and I didn’t care for it. Kudos to the women who are natural, because it takes a lot more work (and creativity) than I care to do lol I’m vegan and workout 6 times a week and I love every bit of my body. I’m not going to judge someone (like a lot of people in the post seem to do) because they want to wear makeup or use relaxers. As long as my doctor says I’m in good health, that’s all that matters.
Exactly. All of that vanity
That’s the problem well my slave masters wear so can I…f them we not suppose to do what they do we were made different and better than them. It should be obvious, yall trying to do what they do has yall leading in all types of Cancers…there is also plenty articles and documentaries proving weaves, wigs, hair dye are toxic poisons. Embrace what God gave you.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cZmUqgswCQ0
I don’t believe this bullshat for one minute…because the beauty companies are marketing a lot of natural products these days because we (normal people/non celebrities) are embracing our natural beauty now more.
1) I stopped relaxing my hair 5 years ago…All Naturalista here
2) I’ve never used skin bleaches
3) I stopped using permanent dye on my hair, however, I do use semi permanent color rinse (2 x year) to cover my gray, which isn’t the pretty gray, it comes in tightly curled at the root.
4) I use all natural products on my hair (no formaldehyde, parebens, etc.). I even use natural finger nail polish.
5) I also do a 10 Day green smoothie cleanse a few times a year to detox.
Finally, a lot of women of color are going natural and now that more natural products are available we are using those too. I don’t believe it…this must be one of those post fillers because its a slow day…
All this!?
More toxins than white women?! Is that why black don’t crack? ?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bEclZYbayUY
I don’t know many who still get perms either. It’s been 8 years for me, however, the damage was definitely done; hormonal problems, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids and fertility problems in general. Coincidence much?
I asked about wigs and weaves causing cancer not your opinion on Black women hair choices. Your video didn’t provide the answer.
I asked about wigs and weaves causing cancer.
Thank goodness this was not my personal experience at home. however, what you say is very true because I did have an aunt (by marriage) who used to say mean things to me when I would visit her home. my little brown gran was married to a tall light-skinned man whose son looked the same. the son’s wife was dark like us, but she always made a point of commenting on how dark I was. oddly enough, it never bothered me. maybe because my grandfather and my uncle (who were not actual blood relatives of mine) treated me as though the sun rose and set with ME (never mind that I was super sun-kissed), LOL! check out Marita Golden’s book, “Don’t Play in the Sun”
OMG Marita Golden. You are a reader. I got her book A Woman’s Place. I have underlined every page in that book. It is one of my favorites I will never throw away.
Try again. It’s a known fact that makeup ages your skin.
I’ll check it out.
Women are starting to embrace natural hair and natural haircare remedies which is great..just stick to your black soap, coconut oil, peppermint soap, jojoba, castor oil etc you’ll be fine. Our skin doesn’t need much to begin with. We have melanin ?
I was in Dubai last week and I even noticed that the white woman was posted all over the place as the thing of beauty on buildings for advertisements. They had clinics for plastic surgery all over the place. You could close your eyes and take your pick. Globally the white woman is marketed as the standard we should all go by. I have always based my beauty by the beat of my own drum and do my own thing. If you want to rock a perm or a fro whatever makes you feel fly do it. Black women style has never been one size fits all anyway.
Exactly!
Obviously you’re one of the slaves that believes everything your oppressor tells you, even when pretty much ALL of their studies are most favorable to them. Wake up!
Black women being wearing their AFRO for years. I was happy to see Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton on Jimmy Kimmel with hers. So wearing an afro isn’t anything new. She has been wearing hers for years. The name has been changed from afro to natural hair so it won’t sound threatening to the masses. Because the name afro sound too Angela Davisish, threatening/powerful. I have friends who have been wearing their afros for years and now people wanna act as if it is something new. Now the beauty product masses has really jacked the prices of your so-called all natural products to give you the illusion you are onto something great/new and innovative.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJnrcVZfsGA
I dont believe 80% of what these so called people claim as natural and natural beauty products.
I know old black people that have lived in their 90s and 100s and get perms and dye their hair so I dont know. All the old school grandmas used lye and all kinds of strong hair products.
Its these new fangled products made in lord knows where you have to worry about.
They are not. They had to put something in it to put it in the bottle. They see those fancy names they can’t pronounce and pay those high azz natural prices they think they are doing something. The government had to call out these natural food shops about their claims. If I am in pain I am not gonna sit up and naturally hurt. Imma take me a chemical filled aspirin to stop it.
LOL I lived in farming communities before so I knew the HOAX with some of the food to charge higher prices for health. I just always assumed the Beauty product natural stuff was gonna be BS.
I don’t want raw fish I want my fish FRIED.
And those same billboards are printed all over China. Been there and saw it for myself.
Those people grew up in an era where the elites weren’t poisoning the food as much as they are now. I stopped using relaxers a couple of years ago due to the deterioration of my sight. Turns out the constant migraines I’ve been getting since the fifth grade were because my Mom was relaxing my hair. I remember for up to a week after getting my hair relaxed I wouldn’t be able to see well and I would have a migraine for that entire week. People tried to tell me it could’ve been from anything. I would say how when the issue only appeared whenever I relaxed. Its been three years and I realized I stopped getting the migraines after I stopped relaxing. My follicles are healing and my vision isn’t that bad.
That’s horrible. I hope this information spread. I see sisters who have beat faces at boot camp workouts. That must be a tremendous amount pressure to feel like you have to look a certain way all the time.
I had a girlfriend once who I helped convince to stop wearing so much make up and base and blush and all that. I noticed the longer she went without it the prettier her face and skin got. She said people she knew noticed she stop wearing so much and she got positive responses. I mainly got tired of that crap being all over my clothes when we got close.
I don’t wear make-up (besides the occasional lip gloss or lipstick), and I stopped relaxing my hair years ago. If I want it straight, I use the old school method…HEAT and HAIR GREASE.
I read somewhere that when black women die and the autopsy us, the top of our brains are grayish, instead of the normal color, and this is because of the relaxers. Don’t know if it’s true, and I can’t remember the source, but I recall being stunned when I read this. What are we doing to ourselves and why?
Lol
I also read that when a medical examiner needs to determine the race of a woman cause sometimes bodies are mutilated/beheaded(its a sick world we live in) they test tissues from the womb and if they find traces of the ingredients of relaxer they automatically class her black. Turns out those things absorb into our bodies and cause issues with fibroids among other things. I dont remember where I read it. I dont know its really true or not.
I tell women as well you don’t need to wear makeup while exercising. I sweat all over the place. I got a girlfriend as well if she ain’t going nowhere she still walks around the house with makeup on her face because she says you never knw who will stop by. I am one of the few people who have seen her without makeup.
yeah, she delves into the whole ‘color complex’ issue …very interesting and insightful writings on colorism.
Yaaaassss Sis. Eleanor! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c3fed1aa979b59e05aa9fc5191b385362a3e258bb90139b61a295275fab20cdb.gif
Don’t that just blow your mind. We all know that the average white woman looks like the old Mama June before the surgery. The one on the billboard is just for advertisements as an illusion.
Yep I am tired of people acting as if a black woman wearing an afro is something new. She been sporting hers for years. She is a bad woman though. Love her spunk as well as her fro.
Yep…I believe it is true because I have heard MULTIPLE times that fibroids are directly related to relaxers, so it makes since that they look at the womb.
I remember in the late 80’s -early mid 90’s when cocoa butter and Vaseline was a must have then LIP GLOSS was our SHINE. A trip to the hairdressers every 2 weeks paid for by the neighborhood guys was and mom was the biz! We used to get our nails sculptured vs tips..we weren’t into all these lace fronts and Farah faucet shiny wigs hangin all down our back. A fly pair of jeans and heals and cute top was also the biz…all this homie the clown shenanigans and over the top crap they pulin these days WAS NOT AND STILL IS NOT THE BIZ!!! I look at these youngstas and SMDH.when I look back and show them my pics they can’t compare!
that is fascinating (and scary). glad you’re feeling better.
yes! she can be a fireball when it comes to the real issues. yet, she’s quite unassuming when she’s not ‘on’ ….I recall seeing her at the downtown Macy’s one Saturday afternoon, just checking out the housewares sale like the rest of us ‘regulars’ https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e86501847072dcba783eea0bbb2c002d3ed3d888581b08556155899f7897582f.gif
Damn this is crazy!! I haven’t relaxed my hair since 2004 nor have i ever dyed my hair but i love my lipgloss, eye concealer and eyelashes so fvck it…bury me it!!
HOLY sh*t. I’m sorry you suffered that way and I will share your story with friends and family. I’m so glad you are doing better and you will continue to do so. Thanks for sharing.
All day and everyday, Ms. Coco. Be blessed!
Yeah I’m currently still transitioning to natural hair I may big chop come spring semester, because my hair is now majority natural. I only use organic body lotion, face wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I highly recommend to other black women a website called vitacost.com all of their products are discounted and are completely organic. Right now im enjoying the moisture rich line by Andalou Naturals. I recommend it for those struggling to find organic affordable products for their healthy hair journey.
I would not recommend hair grease at all. Do you not use a heat protectant when styling with heat?
Yep, I read there is some sort of slime from the relaxers seeping through our scalp.
This is 2017 and cocoa/shea butter and Vaseline is in my medicine cabinet and in my purse. Never leave home without it. I would have a fit if I looked in my purse and couldn’t find my small compartment of Vaseline. I had Lee Nails. come from the club, pop dem babies off and go to bed.
LOL.. I love it sis!. Do your thing baby. I’m about to go touch mine up right now.
(thanks for sharing!)
Thank you
ROFL! I can see right now that you’re a little mess! (and I luvs it!) LOL! keep doin’ you Boo!
Whites were perming their hair when we were using hot combs and hot curlers. What about all the botox and implants these women are getting. Then you have people in the entertainment industry using products to lighten their skin.
Eat you some seaweed and get rid of it. There… solved. You’re welcome
AMEN to that!
Strong’s Concordance
pharmakeia: the use of medicine, drugs or spellsOriginal Word: ?????????, ??, ?
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: pharmakeia
Phonetic Spelling: (far-mak-i’-ah)
Short Definition: magic, sorcery, enchantment
Definition: magic, sorcery, enchantment.
The pharmakeia industry is all about that mighty dollar, they are keeping everyone sick to make a buck. Just because its “legal” doesnt make it right
I do not trust educated guessers (doctors) or their drugs.
Wasn’t people just the other day clowning Jesse Williams wife like a dog calling her ugly she needs makeup, etc, etc. Some women look a mess with natural hair. It is not a one size fit all for black women. We are the only race of women where folks try yo get us all to look alike. We have the baddest hair on the planet where we can wear it in all kinds of styles. No other race can claim that. We women needs to wear a style that is for our individual selves not for our collective selves.
It is just another ploy to downgrade black women. I don’t even pay attention to all of these theories. The last time I had a physical I was given a clean bill of health.
I take these studies with a grain of salt. I am tired of hearing how bad black women have it. Whoever paid for the study controls the outcome. Studies are not to be trusted or quoted as fact without taking all of the variables into the equasion. I am sick of studies comparing a minority people to a majority people. There are always other extenuating circumstances that contribute to the outcome of a study. Leave my black people alone!!!!
I did as well. I came home and had me 2 chemically filled red hot link sammichs, ate like a pig and slept like baby.
Right continue to do what you do.
Yes!!!!
Thank you very much for the links. I’m going to forward them to my family member and check out the ingredients because sometimes toxins are listed but aren’t considered toxic.
That’s right and we have to be so careful as to who we give to. Cancer societies make so much money; yet I can tell you for a fact (I have two types of cancer) that the doctors and pharma, even though they pump you with poison (chemo), they do not inform patients that the foods we eat and the medications we take contribute to the cancer. It’s about those big dollars! Nope. They aren’t going anywhere and if anyone tries to get them to go anywhere, there is hell to pay.
LOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!!!!
Here here.
ABSOLUTELY! These samplings don’t represent the masses, and the environment is what does the most harm, sun damage, chemical waste dumping and spills, water contamination, lead poisoning, clean air deficiencies, our loss of trees, rain forests, pesticides, processed foods, GMO’s, beauty injectables (Botox, fillers)…and the list goes on!
LOL… say it now.
There’s truth to this study but not just for Black women. All women who use products that are not natural have reason to be concerned. I use shea butter and coconut oil on my skin and shea moisture products on my hair but I love lashes, lipstick and eyeliner. They say lipstick has lead in it &nail polish has formaldehyde. There was a black model I read about who swears her baby was born sick because of all the makeup she wore day in and day out for her job…
LOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!
Eat seaweed out of the nasty sea water with fish/whale and turtle shit all over it. YUMMMMM healthy.
Thank you! ?
Also natural Afro-Dominicans have a tighter coil than African Americans and most DR sisters don’t relax. Black salons still selling relaxers. Find an Afro Dominican salon and try a roller set. Sisters will be surprised what so called “nappy” hair can do with care, time, and no chemicals.
My grandparents and great grandmother when they were alive swore by the coconut oil and I love it as well. I love skincare and I have my routine I do every weekend but what I didn’t know until recently was that my lip gloss and sticks were def doing more harm than good to my lips I was like dang why my lips used to be pink color now they have gotten darker 0-o so I researched and it was saying the lipsticks darken it etc… my son was like mom start putting lemon juice and honey on your lips and I have been doing that for 3 months and it has done an awesome job
More and more people have embraced it I was telling my sisters a while back how it seems like each year gets better and better. I can remember summer of 2012 when mostly everyone I know in my family and a few friends started to go back natural and how they got joked on esp by men.. the more women who go natural the more it is the “norm” and I am loving this! I peep more and more movies and commercials with natural hair kids and women and men and I love that as well. Fast forward to 2017 I do not see anyone on my social media timelines who is bashing natural hair anymore… That makes me happy
Slightly off topic but…how was Dubai??!! I sooo want to go! It’s on my bucket list for real. I love visiting new places. Learning new customs and about different cultures. So spill please ?
Marshalls and TJ Maxx are also excellent resources for marked down, high end organic hair, skin and makeup products
Wow!!! I have to try that because I always have on lipstick and I noticed my lips are a little darker and not pink like they used to be. I always have lemon so I’ll definitely be doing this!
Drink plenty water, don’t get tied down with a dumb man, and go to bed early. That’s all you need to stay beautiful.
It was FAB, FAB, FAB. I had to tone down my hoochiness so I wouldn’t get arrested. I wish I could send you some pictures so you can see how much fun I had. I went by myself and felt very safe, It is the cleanest country I have visited, You know I was black. If it wasn’t chicken wings I wasn’t eating it and somebody fried the hell outta that fish on the boat. I had to be black because whoever made those red velvet cake muffins for breakfast I had to stick some of them in my bag for an overnight snack. I went to shop and someone said I got some Brazilian hair. I felt like I was home. Seeing camels and the desert for miles was surreal. My heart is broken about Barcelona,Spain because that is another lovely city and I was on that same street as a tourist.
I totally agree, and the stats on Black women going natural is proof, as the billion dollar natural hair products business continues to soar!
There is a huge and ever-growing Green, Natural, Vegan and Vegetarian Black community, who don’t use relaxers or wear lip sticks with formaldehyde, or other toxic ingredients you find in everyday products from deodorants to soaps to makeup, and that means upscale brands like Mac or Estee cosmetics, Arrid, Zest, or Clairol!
Exactly! Hydrate, no Stress, and Plenty of rest. Done!
Great Commentary!
Thanks for sharing this, so awesome, a wonderful piece of history that didn’t get much press that I saw! I watched the series, Joy Bryant did a great job! Black women and men have done so much for women’s rights without acknowledgment, celebration or profit!
Ms. Holmes-Norton should be widely accredited as a ‘Barbara Walters’ for knocking down doors and shattering ceilings for women in media, and the stories they get to report and tell!
You are oh so correct!!! We must stop internalizing the results of these racially slanted studies.
Damn, you’re ignorant. If you’re a black woman, die then. Dummy. Can’t even educate you angry dumb bitches.
You will never get your answer. We all know the Black Israelites ain’t nothing but bunch of brothers running from the police and child support payments. The ATL is full of them. Everytime I come across one of them I tell them that to their face and they get mad as all outdoors when you ask them what is their real name and SS#.
Yeah like that natural spring water that flows over nasty rocks and dirt.
Yeah, Burlington too!
Yea girl. I did study abroad in college. They were all over menus hotel billboards everywhere. They hold white folks to a very high standard over there. I was just shocked. They use some pearl cream ground up pearls to keep their skin pale as ever. Pale is in over there.
Ha! Ha! Have a great weekend Nan!
Right. Lead & other toxic in it.
There’s a ytube video on this technique as well.
Not always the case. These toxins are discovered in a number of cancer tissue sent a pathology lab containing those ingredients from body products that could’ve only gotten absorbed into the body.
Most likely responders interjecting to cheer on the ignorant have a stake in needing Blacks to keep buying rather than resort to organic products.
Exactly. Guess they didn’t see the current big CT lawsuit on P-oland Springs where no springs for the water is said to exist as described on the bottle. Researchers went to Maine to check it out for themselves. -yet, some Black folks still can’t connect the dots to see why there is a sudden large # of Black boys & men who are gender confused. ?
You too hun …keep it cute.???
I missed that. Me and my friend had an argument about that when I told him that bottled water has an expiration date and water doesn’t expire it evaporates and comes back to the earth as rain. In order for the water to have an expiration date they put something in it. He went and checked like I said and paid me my 10 bucks.
? ?
The broker the brother the deeper he tries to be.
They’ve felt more important since Kendrick Lamar said he was one them.
Have you ever sat through a plane de-icing? Now that chemicals!!
And can you say that shit again! #Pow
Speak!!!
LMAO!!!!
I haven’t had a relaxer since 2008. I’ve transitioned to natural soaps and body oils. I’ve already started using natural deodorants and I’m going to try natural pads and pantyliners. All black owned businesses too. These company’s want a buck so badly they’re killing us with chemicals.
How awesome is that!! It sounds like you had a BLAST. Sometimes, I too travel alone and I swear to you I have the best time! I like traveling with the girls too but when you are solo, the possibilities are endless. Email me:

Amen!
Awww, I love that! Your baby looking out for his momma!

drinking water cleans you out … kool aid pepsi and hennesy don’t cut it .. a young man once got mad when I suggested his mother drink some green tea like it was an insult lol and said nah my mother likes pepsi … at that point I knew I had to save MYSELF … lololol working out contributes as well because you sweat out toxins …. sigh
When i say all natural–i mean stuff u can buy frm a local grocery store or essential oils that u can make yourself….ive always been a “product freak” so im always buying something to try it out. Ive been natural all my life but i used to religiously flat iron my hair–and would wear it curly–but finally learned how to manage and define my natural curl pattern n backin away frm heat. But i see what u mean. How the haircare industry is cashin in on the natural wave.
I am loving it as well.
Thanks.
