Legendary choreographer Paula Abdul is mourning the loss of her mother, Lorraine Abdul, who died suddenly at her California home on Sunday. She was 85.
The “Straight Up” singer shared the sad news of her mother’s passing on Twitter.com on Monday, Jan. 15, writing: “EVERY MOMENT of life should be savored & treasured, whether we’re alone or w/ people we love. When can you pause today to appreciate life?”
Rapper The Game is also morning the loss of his father, George Taylor, who was found unresponsive at his California home on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Mr. Taylor died in his sleep, according to TMZ.com.
The Game, born Jayceon Terrell Taylor, touched on his difficult relationship with his father in his music.
In his track “Bloody Moon”, the 38-year-old rapped, “My father left me when I was seven, at a home/ Left me but took his chrome/ I looked up and blood was gone/ Man, f— it, guess in the world I’m all alone.”
The two had reconciled before Taylor passed.
