Musician Kanye West, left, and award-winning actor Sterling K. Brown, 41, were spotted out and about on the west coast on Monday. Kanye, 40, was all smiles outside his Calabasas office several days after the arrival of his newborn daughter, Chicago West, via a surrogate. The father-of-3 was in a jovial mood as he strolled past the paparazzi, wearing a blue plaid jacket with attached blue hoodie, dark grey pants and a pair of his Yeezy Season 2 crepe sole canvas combat boots (retail $550).

Sterling K. Brown grabbed lunch at The Palm in Beverly Hills, Calif., a day after becoming the first black actor ever to win a Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. The 41-year-old actor cried tears of joy over his latest achievement which comes two weeks after he became the first black actor in history to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama.
Last year, Brown also became the first actor to win an Emmy in 19 years. Some journalists questioned why black actors are just now being recognized for their skills in Hollywood.
“[O]h my god, how have these awards never gone to black actors before? How is this happening for the first time!?” asked Splinternews.com.
