Tom Brady sits dejected during Super Bowl LII

Sunday’s Super Bowl is the lowest rated since Super Bowl XLIV in 2010. Football fans tuned out in droves rather than watch the Philadelphia Eagles win their first Vince Lombardi trophy in the team’s history.

The Eagles upset Tom Brady and the New England Patriots by a score of 41-33 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Deadline.com reports NBC’s telecast on Sunday was even lower rated than the Falcons vs Patriots in 2017 — a game that currently sits at #3 on the list of Top 5 Super Bowl metered market ratings ever.

Sports analysts say the controversial NFL protests led to a steep decline in NFL viewers overall during the regular season.
