Yale University is introducing a new course to counteract the damage done to blacks by centuries of “whiteness”. The prestigious university will introduce the new course in the spring of 2018.
According to Brietbart.com, the class will explore “whiteness” as a “culturally constructed and economically incorporated entity, which assigns value to nearly every aspect of American life and culture.”
The course portrays “whiteness” as a cultural construct developed by colonial whites to justify their power and privilege over black people.
The course will teach students that the purpose and intent of “whiteness” was to conquer, humiliate and shame the descendants of African people.
Students will be encouraged to confront and counter “whiteness” in every medium as “powerful fiction enforced by power and violence.”
The class will be taught by Yale Professor of English Claudia Rankine (pictured above), whose work often focuses on the topic of race, classism, and “whiteness.”
A similar course, entitled “The Problem of Whiteness,” is being offered at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
