Conservative blogger Matt Drudge accused a pharmaceutical company of hitting a “new low” by mocking actress Roseanne Barr’s mental illness. Drudge, who runs the popular link aggregate website Drudgereport.com, accused Sanofi-Aventis of “drugging a generation” with its sleeping pill Ambien.

Roseanne blamed Ambien for a bizarre Twitter tirade, attacking liberals including globalist George Soros and former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.

Disney’s ABC cancelled Roseanne’s show on Tuesday after she tweeted images comparing Jarrett to an ape.

On Wednesday, Sanofi tweeted, “racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.”

But Drudge criticized the drug company for mocking Roseanne’s mental illness while drugging a generation.

“The drug company mocking Roseanne for her mental illness while they drug a generation is a new low!” Drudge tweeted on Wednesday.

Roseanne previously said she suffered from mental illness and had multiple personalities.

Drudge tweeted an incomplete list of the drug’s scary side effects, including memory loss, disorientation, depression, suicidal thoughts, and slow respirations (which can kill you in your sleep).

Drudge also referenced three sources that detailed the harrowing side effects they suffered, including one woman who couldn’t recall ordering items off Amazon.com after taking Ambien.

“I tried Ambien for a while. I would take it about 30 minutes before going to bed and browse around online, waiting for it to kick in. I started receiving packages from Amazon that I didn’t order. It was all good stuff that I liked, so I called around to family and friend trying to figure out who was so kind to send me stuff. When my credit card bill came, everything was on there, thankfully nothing I couldn’t afford. I checked my Amazon account, and apparently I ordered them myself and don’t recall it. Thanks Ambien. I stopped taking it for fear of what else I might do.”
