Kathy Griffin called Kevin Hart a “pussy” for not trashing President Trump in his sold-out standup comedy routines. The disgraced self-proclaimed “D-list” comedienne attacked fellow her comedian in an interview with USA Today.
“I do feel like this is such an anxiety-ridden time for everyone that there is a thirst for all kinds of comedy,” said Griffin, who routinely disses Trump in her comedy. “And look, if you want to not hear about Trump at all, go see Kevin Hart. He doesn’t even mention Trump. I personally think that’s a [expletive deleted] move because he’s a black man. But I guess he’s selling more tickets than I ever will.”
USA Today edited out the word “Pussy” in the article published on Wednesday.
Hart, who commands $10 million per movie, has previously said he is staying out of politics because he doesn’t want to alienate his audience members who may be Trump supporters.
“When you jump into that political realm you’re alienating some of your audience,” Hart told Variety. “The world today, it’s really not a laughing matter. It’s serious. I don’t want to draw attention to things I don’t have nice things to say about.”
Griffin, 57, was blacklisted after she posed for a photo shoot holding a mask that depicted the bloody, severed head of the U.S. president.
She was fired from a coveted CNN gig, her tour was boycotted, and she was investigated by the Secret Service.
