Drake‘s long-awaited fifth studio album, Scorpion, dropped overnight. On one track Drake seems to confirm rumors that he sired a son with a foreign woman.
On “March 14”, Drake embraces his single fatherhood status and he hopes to be a better father to his son than his dad was to him.

I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe
That shit is in stone, sealed and signed
She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine
Drake shares his concerns about his son being raised by a single mama. “I don’t want you to worry about who house you live at / Or who loves you more, or who not there, who did what to who before you got here…”
He has reason to worry: child experts say children are better well-adjusted when they grow up in a 2-parent household.
On “Sandra’s Rose”, Drake reminisces about growing up with a single mom, Sandi Graham, who wasn’t equipped to teach him how to be a man.
He likened himself to a seed that blooms into an exotic yet fragile flower that requires specialized care and is difficult to grow: “My mother had a flower shop but I was Sandra’s rose,” he sings.
