Candace Owens

Conservative activist Candace Owens had her account briefly suspended on Twitter.com on Sunday — the same day she sent out Tweets criticizing newly hired New York Times editorial board member Sarah Jeong for being an unapologetic racist.

In a series of tweets, Owens replaced the word “white” for “Jewish” and “Black” in quotes that Jeong posted on Twitter before she was hired by the New York Times. Jeong’s racist tweets are still live on Twitter.com — but Owens’ tweets resulted in her suspension.

12 hours later, Twitter reinstated Owens’ account after backlash from her followers. Twitter support apologized to Owens and claimed her account was suspended “accidentally”.

“This was our mistake and we’ve apologized to the account owner for the error,” a spokeswoman for Twitter told The Daily Caller.

But many critics are dubious of Twitter’s real intentions. They believe Twitter is practicing a sinister form of censorship by punishing those who express viewpoints that conflict with Twitter’s liberal agenda.

The Culture Chronicles writes:

“This is the main reason for these highly public “accidental” suspensions that end up being blamed on an algorithm. Their true purpose is to not only make people think twice about posting viewpoints the platform doesn’t like, it also prevents new voices from entering the debate, and this is the most sinister part.”

The writer notes that Twitter has suspended tens of thousands of conservative accounts, while ignoring liberal users like the New York Times editor Sarah Jeong (pictured above) who consistently promote racism and violence.

“So Twitter isn’t really looking to punish someone like Candace Owens. She is already popular enough that Twitter knows if they delete her account, it would have the opposite effect that they want. Instead, they temporarily suspend popular accounts like Candace Owens because … It discourages others from [voicing] their own opinions due to fears of similar retaliation.”

In related news, a Black woman was eating breakfast in a restaurant, when a group of white activists entered the restaurant, harassed her, called her a “white supremacist” and chased her out of the restaurant.

This alarming incident occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania over the weekend. The woman’s name is Candace Owens, and her only crime is being a Black conservative.

After the frightening attack on her Constitutional rights, Owens tweeted: “Is this the civil rights era all over again?”
