Popular Instagram blogger Kyrzayda Rodriguez passed away on Sunday after a 10-month battle with stomach cancer. She was 40. Rodriguez documented her battle with terminal illness in stylish photos on her Instagram page, @kyrzayda.
The fashion blogger and stylist continued to awe her 442K followers with fashionable photo shoots even after she dropped 100 pounds and appeared so frail she could barely walk.
She updated her Instagram account with her final fashion post last Tuesday, writing “Thank you God for another day!”
Kyrzayda announced her cancer diagnosis last year, after she fell ill with what she believed was food poisoning at a relative’s wedding reception.
Kyrzayda’s followers praised her courage and remain inspired by her strength and determination to live, after cancer drugs claimed her thick hair and ravaged her small frame.
A friend named Joanne updated Kyrzayda’s Instagram page on Monday to inform her followers that Kyrzayda lost her long battle with cancer.
You were someone who inspired so many people across the world. Not only were you an icon, you were an amazing daughter, mother and friend. Our hearts are broken to see you go. But we know you are no longer in pain and can now rest. Heaven has gained an Angel!
