ABC ordered 1 more episode of “The Conners” after the “Roseanne” reboot was beaten by every other program on Monday night.
According to the latest Nielsen ratings The Conners lost 180,000 viewers, which according to Showbiz411 is not a good sign.
The “Roseanne” reboot was beaten in the ratings by “NCIS” (12.14 million viewers), “The Voice” (8.83M), and “This Is Us” (8.8M).
The Conners, which debuted on Oct. 16 with 11 million viewers and a healthy 7.5 ratings share in the key 18-49 demo, has lost over 2 million viewers in 2 weeks!
The debut episode revealed how Roseanne “died” of an opioid overdose.
The original reboot with Roseanne Barr at the helm peaked at 32 million viewers before she was fired for a sending racist tweet.
The Conners have no hope of drawing numbers anywhere close to Roseanne’s ratings.
According to Showbiz411, ABC ordered 1 more episode to complete the 10-episode season. Roger Friedman suggests the final episode will reveal Roseanne’s death was just a dream.
“ABC has ordered 1 extra episode to the original order of 10. Sounds to me like a finale. Someone wakes up and says they dreamt Roseanne died. There’s a cackle from the next room. Fade to black.”
