Rapper Nicki Minaj went public with her mystery boyfriend in a romantic photo on Instagram.com over the weekend.
The “Barbie Dreams” rapper shared an intimate photo of her new beau Kenny Petty, along with the caption: “Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happens.”
Nicki added “It’s no secret that both of us are running out of time.”
The two apparently had a romantic getaway over the weekend to celebrate her 36th birthday.
But moments after going public with her new boo, Internet sleuths uncovered Petty’s criminal record that reveal he was convicted in 1995 of attempted rape in the first-degree.
Petty is a registered sex offender in New York following an incident that occurred in 1994, according to The Blast.
Social media users happily plastered Petty’s mugshots all over the ‘Gram.
Petty was sentenced to between 18 and 54 months in state prison, according to The Blast.
Nicki’s fans were shocked that she hooked up with a registered sex offender, especially after her brother, Jelani Maraj, 39, was convicted of raping a minor child in New York in 2017. He is currently locked up awaiting sentencing.
Nicki was also affiliated with 22-year-old rapper Tekashi 69, who is in a New York prison awaiting trial on racketeering charges.
Tekashi was arrested on Nov. 18 for violating the terms of his bond stemming from a child sex case when he was 18.
Nicki’s fans flooded her timeline with comments about her poor judgment and questionable character.
