DMX haas been released from prison. The 48-year-old NY native was released early Friday from the Gilmer Federal Correctional Institution in West Virginia, where he served less than a year for income tax fraud.
DMX, who was born Earl Simmons, is ordered to serve three years probation and pay $2.29 million in restitution to the government.
The rapper is pictured below relaxing at home with his 15th child, a son named Exodus Simmons, 2, and his fiancée Desiree Lindstorm.
The virile rapper is best known for his 1998 debut album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot and his hit single “Party (Up in Here)” off his platinum 1999 album …And then There Was X.
DMX’s last album was 2012’s Undisputed. Fans can party with the rapper at his welcome home bash at the Lotus Lounge in West Haven, Connecticut on Feb. 8. Tickets are still available.
