Senate Democrats and the Trump administration reportedly reached an agreement to reopen the government temporarily, according to Drudgereport.com.

Mediaite.com reports that President Trump is expected to announced he will reopen the government “for a few weeks” at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The shutdown is in its sixth week. More than 800,000 federal workers are furloughed without paychecks.

Two measures to reopen the government failed in the Senate earlier Friday.

Trump ordered the partial government shutdown on Dec. 22 after Congress refused his request for $5.7 billion to fund his border wall.
