A Mexican newspaper has brushed aside the upcoming elections in America by printing today’s papers with the headline ‘OBAMA WINS’.
I realize that some of you are too young to remember the last time the mainstream media jumped the gun and incorrectly predicted the outcome of the presidential elections.
So I took the liberty of posting the famous photo of president Truman holding a copy of the Chicago Daily Tribune which boldly announced the wrong winner of the 1948 US presidential elections.
It seems the Chicago Daily Trib staff based their prediction on exit polls (lol). I guess they figured who needs election results when polls are so accurate? 
The Chicago Daily Tribune newspaper could never live down that embarrassment and the paper went out of business shortly thereafter.
I heard John McCain’s staff has already purchased several copies of the Mexican newspaper. Will history repeat itself?
So we’re just going to brush aside that little “new” on top of Mexico huh?

If you have not done so, go vote early! And if you haven’t voted already, plan to take off a half a day on November 4th. It’s so worth it.

Umm, ok. This is ridiculous.
#1 – It’s a NEW Mexico paper, not a Mexican paper.
#2 – They are not published daily – can’t remember if it was bi-weekly or monthly – but by the time their next issue comes out, the election will be over.
The editor stated they were going with how the landscape looks now. And though I think it’s risky and would definitely be bad biz if Obama loses, state the facts of the entire situation, Sandra.
Damn – was anyone on this blog around in 1948 that remembers this???
also, i know you’re not trying to clown exit polls (is it because obama’s name is mentioned)…some time ago you made a post about polling like it really makes a damn difference anyway…

Now Ms. Sandra… You did not get this story 100% correct. Firstly, it is not a MEXICAN newspaper. It is a New Mexico (which is one of the 50 states) paper. The paper is a bi-monthly publication and they needed to pick something for their end of October/beginning of November publication. It is done tongue-in-cheek and not like the huge error done back in 1948.

Here is why i think, most white people who vote are racist and despite hating bush they would not want to see a black man or perceived Muslim as president and whites make up the majority we will see though i would nt be surprised if barack won but regardless of who wins america is heading DOWNE!!!!!!!

I voted Obama..there are a ton of reasons why but the one that stands out the most is is sarah palin..i cannot stand her and don’t want her anywhere near the whitehouse..now this headline can be both proactive or sabatoge..depends on how you read into it..if enough people think it’s true that haven’t voted..it could swing the vote..mexico knew what they were doing when they printed this..TRUST
