Roads are closed all over the Metro Atlanta area as torrential rains and flood waters leave four people dead, including a toddler. Another line of storms is expected to move through the area later today.

WOW.. I’m praying for yall Atlanta.
Me TOO @pinky …
I heard about this on the news and i believe it is happening to the states in the southeast so i hope everyone who lives in these areas stay safe and i’ll be praying for y’all.
Praise God I left the office when I did! I would’ve been RIGHT there on the downtown connector.
I will keep all in my prayers. I am still at work because it’s raining here in Ohio and I don’t want to get my hair wet trying to walk the minute and a half walk to my car. Boy, do I need to stop complaing. Our rain came down fast but only lasted less than 5 minutes.
Don’t tell me ppl don’t get along durning a disaster. The pic of Mr. Clark and Mr. Cameron is priceless.
I’m so sorry to hear this. You guys be safe.
Im praying for all in Atlanta. Daisy be safe!!!
I just hope this isnt another Katrina if so, the goverment neeeds to react 10X better since they should’ve learned from Katrina.
I made it home sade and sound. The flooding is worse by my job vs my home. I believe we are supposed to get more rain throughout the night. I been here almost 10 yrs and never seen it like this. I will be real casual and comfy tomorrow at work lol
sheez…..what is it a tropical storm or something dang…
sandra, daisy & everyone else in ATL I hope your all okay & your in my prayers, I had no idea until I woke up this morning and saw it on the news.
You guys are in my prayers. My family in Atlanta is ok thank God!
Morning family!
My family and I are ok. I am trying to reach my sister and make sure her and her five little ones are accounted for. Unfortunately, her phone is off and I am unable to get to where she is because the expressway is closed. I’m asking everyone who is reading this to pray for her safety.
Thanks in advance
Good morning all. My God, 20 inches of rain, and the past 2 yrs have been a drought in the south. Folks prayed for rain and God sent them rain. God is trying to tell us something. I pray for the safety of all in these trying times. Thank you Jesus, just thank Him. Peace.
yvonne79 wat part is ur sister i can try to help i’m in stn mtn and decatur and it’s not bad rite now but expecting more rain today. All schools r closed and they hv closed alot of da mojor freeways. GOD IS GOOD Y’ALL
Yvonne I am on the south side but work in Marietta where is your sister?
Since 285 is closed on the west side I had to come through downtown to 75 to get to work.
I have very little flooding on one side of my house other than that I am good THANK GOD!
I am glad the rain has stopped for now and yes we did pray for rain and God sure sent it when he was good and ready.
@Luvly I didnt know they were calling for more rain I thought they said it was moving out
I meant flooding on the outside not inside of my house by the way
Hey Daisy! My sister is by the Carver schools off Park Ave. I’m thinking she’s ok, she just can’t get to a phone.
im glad yall here are ok! yvonne i am hoping all is well with your sister and the 5 lil ones!! omg this is crazy
Yvonne I am going to need your sister to use a neighbors phone and check in lol I pray all is well
@Sponge this is crazy indeed and more rain is on the way I just read!!!
Death toll is at 7 and rising. So sad.
@Daisy! Who are you tellin’? She’s special like that
I promised my mom that I will get over there today if I haven’t heard from her. All of this feels so surreal, like I’m in the twilight zone.
Thanks sponge and to everyone for all their well wishes. As soon as I hear something, I will be sure to let everyone know.
Sandra, daisy, yvonne, luvly and everybody else that live in atlanta, please be safe and I will keep you all in my prayers.
Thanks mizzdallas and everyone for your well wishes. But we’ll be fine. There is no flooding where I live. The way the media is covering this story you would think all of Atlanta was under water.
Thanks Mizz! I am safe n dry lol
I dont think the news is saying the entire city is under water. I have been watching local news and CNN.
SR, bite your tongue. It’s worse than people think. I think it’s up to 8 deaths now. That’s not exaggerated. Trees down, roads blocked, streets caved in, etc. Lucky you Sandra, seriously. It’s ugly on my side of town.
My prayers are with everyone in the A.
oh daisy thats why i had to take 75 this morning? i normally take 285 to work in marietta but i saw the sign say all lanes on 285 was closed at bankhead so i had to go 75 way. thankfully the southside didnt get bad far as i know i dont know anybody who had problems but my friends in gwinett
East we need to do lunch lol I didn’t know you worked in Marietta. Yeah I came through downtown to 75. I heard camp creek was flooded yesterday. I need to workout 2morrow so I hope its all cleared up lol
Yeah, it is pretty bad in certain areas – including mine. I think I saw 7 deaths with many missing on AJC.
must have been deep down camp creek cause i went to the licca store on camp creek yesterday and it was fine over there it looked to me. im always down to eat
Daisy and east i thought they had closed 75 going out to Marietta also cuz of flooding glad u guys made it ok but isn’t it awful out dat way? I agree wit Sandra the news is kind of over stretching some things but out Powder Springs and Austell it is really bad and it does kind of look like Katrina. Did anyone see da picture of dat school in Powder Springs totally under water and all u saw waz da name of da school? This is so unreal for ATL.
@Luvly I work off windy hill/terrell mill so I was good this am
@East Good looking out cause I need to hit the gym 2morrow and the rest of the week. Lets do lunch next fri lol
dang u are close im off wendy hill 2 lol
@Daisy: You, me and East need to hook up for lunch FOR REAL. We all work in the same area pretty much. Go figure!
