Yesterday, seconds after I made a post predicting Sen. Hillary Clinton would win both the Texas and Ohio primaries, my phone started ringing.
It was a friend calling to remind me that Sen. Barack Obama was on a 12-state winning streak. I reminded her that Obama’s weak campaigning against Clinton had taken its toll and the momentum was swinging in Clinton’s direction.
Sen. Clinton has humiliated Obama with dirty campaign tricks for months now, from voter suppression tactics to accusing Obama of drug use – without barely a whimper from him.
The latest dirty trick to come out of Hillary’s camp is this ad attacking Obama for not holding any hearings on Afghanistan. In the ad, Obama appears 3 shades darker than his normal skin tone. So far, there’s been no response from Obama. When he does strike back at Clinton, it’s with kid gloves on.
Now he claims he’s ready to fight back.
While talking with reporters on his plane on his way from San Antonio to Chicago today, Obama hinted at taking a harder stance against Clinton in the coming weeks. This comes two days after he was practically mauled by the press corps in Texas on Monday. An AP reporter asked him whether an Obama aide had tipped off Canadians that his anti-NAFTA campaigning was just rhetoric aimed at winning votes.
Obama began to stutter, “Let me, let me, let me, let me just be absolutely clear what happened,” Obama answered, while reminding them that the press conference was a “courtesy” and not really official.
The press corps, like a pack of hungry wolfs, smelled blood and attacked. The exchange proved what some of us already know about Obama: when his back is against the wall, he is not prepared to fight.
Obama told the reporters on the plane he wanted them to ask Clinton more questions about her foreign experience. “I haven’t seen any evidence that she is more equipped to handle a crisis,” he said.
But on Monday, Obama proved he wasn’t equipped to even handle a question on the “NAFTA gate.” That one question from the AP reporter was like a right hook to the jaw that left Obama reeling and swinging at the air. He didn’t see it coming. He wasn’t prepared.
Do we really want Obama stuttering on the phone in the White House when that crucial call comes in at 3 AM?
War Czar: Mr President, we have detected 7000 weapons of mass destruction heading our way. What should we do?
Obama: Let me, let me, let me, let me discuss this with Michelle and I’ll get right back to you!
ummmm maybe u should read into the fact he is not yet ready for such responsibility
keep playing sandra. you gone get shot
I’ll wait and see!!!!
he should’ve started gangbanging w/ that broad a long time ago…f’ck that nice guy crap, he should’ve been more aggressive…i still have faith in him though…i just saw the funniest tee-shirt, “don’t vote for monica lewinsky’s ex-boyfriend’s wife”…PRICELESS!
i wayyy off yesterday…i predicted he would get 3 out of 4 and her a$$ did it!!!
I hate to say it but I been thinkin the same way you have all along Sandra.
sandra, stop clowning obama…he can’t do no worse than what we’ve been dealing w/ for damn near 8 yrs…REAL TALK…
I think he was truly trying to run a clean campaign (sp) and it just wasn’t what she was trying to do. He should have come hard a long time ago. He’s going to be confronted like this much more often now because a weaken has been seen. It is pivotal that he eat his spinach and come hard from here to November with his campaigning.

Funny! That would look good on a t-shirt.
Why not? Bill was discussing ish with Hillary.
Obama for change.
I am tired of his studdering. He needs to brush up on his answers to the hard questions. I also agree with a CNN commentator who stated he needs to start holding his staff members accountable for their missteps. Hills has fired several people associated with her campaign when they have embarrassed her including her campaign manager. Obama has let them slide every time. One campaign staffer played hard ball with an average Joe in the hostile takeover of the supporters MySpace page that was started two years before Obama ran for office. The supporter was slandered with blatant lies to justify the campaigns actions. I felt like he should have sued Barack and that scandal was the reason it took me so long to support him. Now he has the NAFTA scandal where Barack himself said the staffer was not speaking on his behalf when he discussed Obama’s stance on NAFTA with a Canadian official. Once again that staffer has not been fired.
The bottom line is he needs to toughen up and get a lot sharper if he wants to become the Democratic candidate. He’s just looking really sloppy right now.
A clean campaign wont work with this woman…she will stop at nothing unfortunatley, so even though we call her attacks dirty/cheap/desperate…obviously, they have worked somehow with people easily swayed. Its time he gets assertive and fight back!….
It will be interesting to find out how it turns out in the end. The media seems to have switched sides overnight, going as far to ask Sen. Clinton if she plans on picking Obama as HER running mate.
How can Obama win 12 straight states but they ask HER if SHE’LL pick HIM as HER running mate????
……………Polotricks sometimes cunfuses me.
Forgive me for saying this because its wrong and off topic but..
Hillary just reminds me of the Joker from Batman and everytime I look at at her I get chills and not the good kind either.
::shudders::
But back on topic, I really hope he begins to address her accusations/ mud sligging, I understand he was trying to run a clean campaign but at the end of the day this is still politics.
I think that Obama has taken the Ghandi, MLK or Jesus stance regarding fighting Hill on this campaign BUT even Jesus pulled out a whip and went off when lines were crossed. Plus He (Jesus) always told the truth…so Obama you can stay clean and honest but pull out all stops man. Folks do listen and since you are a black man they are more critical. Anyone can stutter yes, no big deal BUT he does need to sharpen up and do test questions in the mirror at home or with his wife Michelle so he can be prepared.

No but it sure beats George W. Bush’s reaction to 9/11
After the man was just told America had been attacked,(he was at a children’s school *reading* to them by the way) After he was told, he stared into space for a few minutes and continued to pretend reading to the kids and stared into space some more and then realized he needed to get up and get back to the White House to do something.

I swear I thought I was the only one who gets the chills….she just looks more and more evil as this whole things moves along…..
I definitely agree that Obama has to stop being so complacent in his responses to the Clinton attacks.
He has McCain’s camp and the Clinton’s all gearing up for a fight. He will have to deal with much worse once in the White House.
The only way Obama is going to be prepared to answer tough questions is if the answers are spoon fed to him, the way they have been for his entire campaign. I’m not saying that the man is not intelligent, but I don’t feel his thoughts are his own. He hasn’t proven that he knows how to respond without his advisors, and that bothers me. I want a leader that knows how to defend this country, and how can he defend the country when he isn’t even prepared to defend himself?

Come on ya’ll. You thought you were the only ones who got chills looking at her?………Bill wasn’t sleeping around just for the hell of it………Cause that’s what was hot on the streets.
LOL
@EmmCee
lol – that is disturbingly funny and possibly true…..LMAO – poor Bill!
Lmao Ok good lol I was starting to think that it was just me
If you’re worried about who answers the phone in the white house at 3am, vote for Hillary. If you’re worried about answering the phone at your house and it’s the BOSS saying you’ve been laid off, vote for Obama, cause he’s the only one worried about the economy. Y’all still worried about planes flying into buildings and the dollar is getting killed overseas.
All I know is, as I was caucusing last night I saw a lot of US on Hillary’s side. Even saw a homeless man in there raising his hand for Hillary. If WE could all unite, maybe the n_gga might win. But there are black folks out there who think he’s “not ready”…(When in THE H*LL have any of the white presidents been READY? If they were so ready America wouldn’t be in the state it’s in now!) WE think he’s “not fighting hard enough”, but as SOON as that black man goes hard against that white woman the media will only hint around that he’s an angry black man. Rush WILL flat out call him one. A black man has to be very careful with how he responds to a white woman, and Barak knows this. He wants to win the election but there are so many cards stacked against him – inlcuding doubting black folks.
I hate dirty politics which is the very reason Hilary will never get my vote even if she were the best for this country..playing dirty says alot about your character..depending on who you ask..good or bad..but as far as the primaries go..stick to the issues..everything else is b.s..as a woman i’m disppointed in her cattiness..I expected better..Obama, should have had the backbone in the beginning..you can’t play it cool with people like the Clintons, but i commend him for being a gentleman for this long
@ Smokie you couldntve said it any better, we really need to unite and support him.

Why do we NEED to? Please elaborate, because I am tired of people attacking me because I’m not 100% behind Obama. Esp. when the only reason they can give me for supporting him is because he’s a black man and he has good ideas. Ideas are good, but implementation is key. Yes, Obama has been a contributor to the passing of recent legislation, however none of that legislation affected the people of this country on a grand scale. Not to mention that some of his ideas will cost a great deal of money. Providing grants to every person in school and cutting health care expenses are all things that this country needs, yes, but to say that he will have it all accomplished in 4 years is a very grand promise on his part. It’s when he makes statements like those that I get nervous and look at him sideways. Sounds good, but is it actually do-able.
I’m very interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
Sandra you got me CRACKING UP at this!!! lolol
“War Czar: Mr President, we have detected 7000 weapons of mass destruction heading our way. What should we do?
Obama: Let me, let me, let me, let me discuss this with Michelle and I’ll get right back to you!”
I’m still for Obama all the way though!
Milly,
When President Bush was caught off guard by a reporter and asked about the possibility of gas prices increasing, the president of the United States says, ‘That’s interesting, I hadn’t heard that”. Now if that’s not crazy, I don’t know what is!!!!!!! Your the fucking President!!!! So please, cut Obama some slack!
He’s not the stupid one, the President of the United States is!!!!!!
