Many are saying President Trump pulled an epic chess move by leaking information to an unidentified “whistleblower” after the latest impeachment effort blew up in the Democrats’ faces.
Trump was on the hot seat for allegedly pressuring Ukraine’s president to reopen an investigation into Joe Biden and his son.
On Tuesday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an unofficial impeachment inquiry into Trump.
Then Trump did something the Democrats did not expect – he released the unredacted transcript of the phone conversation between himself and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The transcript, which did not contain the bombshell the Democrats had hoped for – did allow Trump to get the word “CrowdStrike” trending on Twitter. He also mentioned the fact that Biden bragged about firing the Ukraine prosecutor who was investigating his son, Hunter.
Hunter Biden was paid $50,000 per month to serve on the board of a Ukrainian energy company. Hunter also received $1.5 billion from China. Funds that Republicans claim were influence peddling.
Elizabeth Warren, who passed Biden in the polls this week, hesitated when asked whether she would allow her vice president’s son to sit on the board of a foreign company. “No,” she said before adding, “I don’t know. I mean I’d have to go back and look at the details.”
Within an hour after the White House released the transcript, Twitter users uploaded a video that shows Biden bragging about withholding a billion dollars from Ukraine if the prosecutor wasn’t fired.
“You’re not getting the billion dollars. Call Barack,” Biden says. “If the prosecutor isn’t fired, you’re not getting the money.”
The Democrats accused Trump of withholding military aid to Ukraine. Now here is Biden admitting he did the same thing as vice president.
The damning video embarrassed Biden and the Democrats. Flustered Democrats are demanding to know why Pelosi rushed the impeachment inquiry without first reviewing the evidence.
Biden’s loose lips is probably why former President Barack Obama pleaded with him not to run for president.
Obama’s choice for the nomination is California Senator Kamala Harris. But she has gone missing from the headlines in recent weeks and is no longer considered a serious contender.
