Tyler Perry was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California on Tuesday, October 1.
Actors Idris Elba (left), Kerry Washington (right) and Crystal Fox (2nd from left) were on hand to help salute their pal Tyler Perry as the director and playwright unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of friends and family.
Perry, 50, earned the 2,675th plaque on famed Hollywood Boulevard and some of his famous friends were there to help him celebrate.
Washington and Idris appeared in Perry’s films Peeples and Daddy’s Little Girls, respectively.
After the ceremony, Washington took to Instagram and wrote: “Nobody is more deserving of this than you @tylerperry. Thank you for shining so brightly, for guiding our paths, and for creating new constellations.
