Ciara Wilson relies on her 2 minor children, son Future Zahir, 5, and daughter Sienna Princess, 2, to choose the music she releases. “They’re like my little A&Rs,” she told guest host Justin Hartley during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.

The 33-year-old part-time Seattle homemaker says she relies on the intuition of her minor children to tell her whether she has a chart-topping hit on her hands.

“They let me know if something is right or if it’s not. And they are like 10 for 10 with their reaction. The way you kind of know, the songs have to have the ABC element,” she said.

Ciara married Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in 2016 and they share daughter Sienna. Promiscuous rapper Future Hendrix, 35, fathered her son Future Zahir.

All parents believe their children are geniuses with above average intelligence, and Ciara is no exception.

“So when they hear a song, and they can sing it back within the next few hours or right after hearing it, you know you’re onto something right. And that’s how they were with songs like Level Up.”

Ciara, a native of Austin, Texas who graduated from Riverdale High School in Atlanta, is best known for her chart-topping hit “Goodies” from her 2004 debut album of the same title.

Her debut album also spawned the hit singles “1, 2 Step”, “Oh” and “And I”.

In 2006, Ciara’s 2nd studio album Ciara: The Evolution spawned the hit singles “Get Up”, “Promise”, “Like a Boy” and “Can’t Leave ’em Alone”.

But she hasn’t had much chart success since then. That’s why she is fortunate to have her children help her choose new music.

Ciara is sure her kids get their musical intuition from her. “I graduated when I was 17 years old and I was on camera going, ‘I see myself having a No. 1 song on the Billboard chart and da da da,’ and I was declaring what I foresaw happening or what I believed could happen.”

She recalled hearing “Goodies” on the radio for the first time when she was in a fast food restaurant in Atlanta.

“My dream came true in every way I could have imagined and more.”
