Kim Kardashian-West says she has made sacrifices and totally compromises for Kanye West as he goes through a midlife change.
Kim stopped by The Real daytime talk show on Wednesday and suggested the rap musician, who turned his back on secular music, is going through a midlife crisis.
Kanye gave up rap music to preach to the unwashed masses during his popular Sunday Service gospel revival tour. Kim told The Real co-hosts that she supports her 42-year-old husband while he embarks on his religious journey. “I obviously want to honor him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change,” she said.
The West Coast socialite revealed she fights with her husband over the differences in their approach to raising their children since he became a born-again Christian.
The 39-year-old mother of four said Kanye removed the televisions from their children’s bedrooms and he forbid 6-year-old North West from wearing lipstick.
“He’s very cautious about what we have in the house. We got rid of TVs in the kids’ room and removed makeup from North’s room. He’s had this epiphany of being this… not that he wasn’t an amazing dad, but being more strict as a dad and very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see.”
She said she has had to compromise as Kanye becomes “more strict” as a dad. She said they sometimes fight over his excessive demands. Rumor has it that he went through her closets and ordered her to stop dressing in half naked clothing.
“I think, at the end of the day, that’s what marriage is. He’s going to do things that I don’t agree with and I support him and vice versa.”
