A Marietta woman will spend the Thanksgiving holidays in jail for firing a handgun into a Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-thru window because she didn’t receive a fork or napkins with her order.
Jonelle Jade Dare, 33 was arrested Tuesday, nearly a month after she was accused of shooting into a KFC restaurant in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
The incident occurred Oct. 28, Shelbyville police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. No one inside the restaurant was injured.
Witnesses said the woman was irate about not receiving napkins or utensils with her meal, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.
After exchanging words with the cashier, Dare pulled a handgun and fired through the open drive-thru window.
Investigators tracked her to Atlanta and secured warrants for her arrest with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the AJC.
She was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sandy Springs. A handgun was recovered.
Dare is being held without bond while awaiting extradition to Kentucky, according to AJC.com.
“Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies have notified authorities in Kentucky that Ms. Dare is available for pick up,” the agency told AJC.com. “They have 15 business days to do so.”
