Lizzo responded to the backlash she received for her disgraceful behavior at the Lakers vs Timberwolves game on Sunday.
Lakers fans were furious when the 31-year-old singer exposed her rotund butt cheeks and twerked in full view of children and old ladies in the arena and in the television audience.
Lizzo wore a long black t-shirt dress with cut outs to expose her bare butt cheeks clad in a black string thong.
Many Lakers fans called the Staples Center to complain and demand they ban Lizzo from future games.
The emotionally labile singer shared her feelings about the stunt in an Instagram Live chat with fans.
Showing a wide range of emotions from anger to profound sadness, the unstable singer told her fans to kiss her azz cheeks before adding that everyone is important and “be blessed.”
“Your criticism has no effect on me,” she said. “Negative criticism has no stake in my life; no control over my life, over my emotions. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I’m surrounded by love and I just wanna spread that love and also spread these cheeks. And you know if you really really don’t like my azz, you can kiss it.”
She added:
“I’m not gonna censor myself… I’m not gonna shrink myself because somebody thinks that I’m not sexy to them. (Laughs) Bitch, you really think ’cause somebody on Twitter thinks that I’m not cute, I’m gonna stop existing?”
She continued:
“I’m blessed and I want you to know that you’re blessed. I want you to know that you woke up this morning and that’s a blessing. I want you to know that the sun is shining somewhere. That’s a blessing, and even if it’s raining, it’s cleansing you. It’s a blessing.”
At one point Lizzo teared up as she recalled being homeless and sleeping in her car.
“It felt surreal. I was, like, is this my life? I didn’t want to be here anymore… I can’t do this anymore. I’m not gonna make it… I think about those times now and I’m like, God is so real y’all.”
The morbidly obese star thanked her fans for their support before adding.
“So I’ma keep doing whatever the f*ck I wanna do and I hope that that inspires you to do whatever the f*ck you wanna do… These are happy tears. Remember: I’m crying ’cause I love you. Don’t you forget it.”
