Rich the Kid penned an open letter to his girlfriend Tori Brixx after he objectified her at the 2019 American Music Awards.
The Atlanta rapper was heavily criticized for pawing and slobbering all over the busty 29-year-old Instagram model on the red carpet.
Many said the disgraceful misogynistic display was not in keeping with the family-oriented music awards.
On Wednesday, Rich apologized to Tori, saying he was “under the influence” when he treated her like a human blow up doll on the red carpet.
In a photo caption, the 27-year-old rapper wrote:
“My life is everything with you & nothing without, I love you more than anything on earth I want to sincerely apologize for my behavior this weekend I was either drunk or high but that still does not excuse it. I would never disrespect my wife in any way or any day I can only treat with utmost respect for being the women Of my dreams & the best mother to our child.”
Rich, who was born Dimitri Roger, is among hip-hop’s sub genre of mumble rappers. He is best known for his hits “Plug Walk” and “New Freezer” off his debut album The World Is Yours.
